PROJECT

Rideau Orthodontic Mfg. Ltd. was seeing a decline in orders due to the inability to provide digital scans. These digital scans replace analog impression trays and the need to create a stone model of the teeth. Dentists send the scan electronically to their external dental laboratory provider (if they have a 3D printer) to produce (print) the models of the teeth and then produce the appliance required by the patient.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Purchasing 3D printers and 3D scanners allowed Rideau Orthodontic to expand their product offering and approach clients that they were not able to service. The new service offering is projected to bring in an additional $120,000 in revenue annually from new clients, and retain 10 existing clients who have switched to digital technology within the past year.
