PROJECT SUMMARY

James Train developed a new product that becomes part of the existing docking system that protects the watercraft and rider when leaving or docking. He created a floating dry dock system that you just drive on and roll off that attaches and blends into your existing floating dock. With the support of CFDC who provided advice and financing including a non-repayable contribution through the Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP), Cottage Docks Inc. was successful in taking a product idea from concept to production and to market.

TESTIMONIAL

“The PWC Port, a seamless transition from floating dock to drive on PWC Float Port with convenient walk off, was just a great idea at one point in time. But with a strong push with existing suppliers and the funding help from Community Futures the idea turned into a reality. The extra funding from Community Futures no doubt pushed the project into the market place and now has started a life of its own that will continue to generate revenue and jobs three-fold. Of course, the trials and tribulations were inherent of a first-year new project start up but importantly they seemed to be ironed out with additional improvements on the way.”
