PROJECT

Quantum Passivhaus is a new production centre and training facility for Passive houses for green building centre of excellence. They purchased a new manufacturing centre that includes a training centre for contractors and subcontractors from Ontario and Eastern Canada, the first of its kind outside of BC; they are in the final stages of setting up production facility. Quantum Passivhaus is dedicated to the planning, design and promotion of Passive Houses, the world’s most energy-efficient building standard. The team is composed of certified Passive House tradespeople and designers, ecologist/consultant skilled in ecosystem management and planning, project manager, and business advisors, coaches and consultants.

The Minden facility will meet with clients and complete a comprehensive building plan and construct the shell of the home to be installed on the building site. Quantum Holdings have partnered with Legalett for the installation of the concrete base. Quantum Passivhaus staff will erect the structure. Interior construction services will be sub contracted to certified tradesman, also trained in the Passive House building standards.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Expand the market to include more services and products, sell homes outside of Haliburton County, increased productivity with efficiencies, IT infrastructure, systematic and sustainable equipment, expanded Canadian Training facility, and 50% growth rate in year 2.

By year 3 operating the full facility is expected to have 24 FTE specialized jobs. Staff will receive specialized training and certifications.
