Volunteer Week 2023

Volunteering can have a profound impact on both the volunteer and the community they serve. As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our CFEO Board of Directors and IRC members.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of any organization, and here at theCommunity Futures Eastern Ontario (CFEO) Network, we are incredibly fortunate to have an exceptional team of volunteer board members and Investment Review Committee (IRC) members who work tirelessly year-round to help us achieve our mission of building stronger communities. As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible contributions of these dedicated individuals.

Our CFEO board members are a diverse group of professionals with a wide range of skills and expertise, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. From finance and business development to community engagement and social impact, each member plays a critical role in guiding our organization and ensuring that we are fulfilling our mandate to support economic development and job creation in Eastern Ontario.

Similarly, CFEOs Southern Ontario Fund for Investment in Innovation (SOFII) has also been successful due to the tireless efforts of the SOFII Investment Review Committee (IRC), a committee of the CFEO Board of Directors. The IRC plays a significant role in the operations of the SOFII program by reviewing and recommending to the CFEO Network Board of Directors whether an applicant should or should not be funded.

Our board and committee members share a common commitment to volunteerism, giving generously of their time and energy to support our organization, often going above and beyond what is expected to ensure that we are successful in our efforts. They understand the importance of giving back to their communities and are truly passionate about making a difference.

But it's not just their dedication to volunteering that makes our board members so exceptional. It's also their willingness to collaborate, share ideas, and work together to achieve common goals. Our board meetings are lively and engaging, with each member bringing a unique perspective and insight to the table. They openly discuss challenges, offerfeedback, and ultimately help us make better decisions as an organization.

As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our CFEO Board of Directors and IRC members. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our organization and the communities we serve. We couldn't do it without you!
