Privacy Statement

Eastern Ontario Community Futures Development Corporation Network Inc. (the Network) is committed to protecting your privacy. We, as professional board members, staff and volunteers, hold ourselves accountable to Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”).

The Network collects personal information as required to assess a prospective applicant’s eligibility for financial assistance, as well as to report to Industry Canada, the federal department that administers the Ontario Community Futures Program. Both personal and non-personal information collected is safeguarded according to the highest privacy and data protection standards available and in compliance with PIPEDA.

At the time of completing a loan application, the express, written consent of the individual applicant is sought for the collection, use, retention and disclosure of their personal information for the purposes set out in the Network’s Privacy Policy. An applicant may choose not to provide some or all of the personal information requested. (However, if the Network is unable to collect sufficient information to validate a financing request, the application for financing may be turned down.)

The Network maintains current and comprehensive policies and procedures in respect to privacy, information security and record retention and destruction. Subject to applicable laws and with specific exceptions to protect the privacy of third parties, clients may access their personal information held by Eastern Ontario Community Futures Development Corporation Network Inc. by submitting a written request for access to the Executive Director. Any corrections to such information will be made, if required, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Investing in Regional Diversification Pool

irdThe Eastern Ontario Investing in Regional Diversification Pool is supported through FedDev Ontario and works in conjunction with the Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) throughout our region. Small and Medium-sized enterprises are eligible to apply for a loan up to $350,000 for a wide variety of business initiatives. These include:

  • Innovation - New Product and Market Development
  • Green Tech and/or Clean Tech Market Sectors
  • Women Entrepreneurs
  • Business Succession Planning and Ownership Transition

Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP)

logo eodpThe Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP) advances economic development in rural eastern Ontario. Through EODP, FedDev Ontario is collaborating with Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) in eastern Ontario and Community Futures Ontario East to promote the growth of new and existing businesses in rural communities.

Eligible recipients may include:

  • Not-for-profit organizations;
  • Commercial enterprises;
  • Aboriginal organizations; or
  • Post-secondary institutions.

Contact your local CFDC for more information on the eligible activities for your proposed project.

Collaborative Economic Development Projects

cedp logoUnder the umbrella of the EODP Program, CEDP projects approved for funding will demonstrate benefits to multiple communities and promote broad-based collaborative economic development leading to a competitive and diversified economy, while contributing to the successful development of business/job opportunities and prosperous communities. Proposed projects must be strategic and deliver measurable, sustainable impacts primarily in terms of job creation/maintenance, business growth, investment and regional economic prosperity.

This program supports scale-up of high-growth, innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in rural and urban communities by offering loans of $150,000 to $500,000 (additional funding available on an exception basis). SOFII provides interest-bearing business loans to help innovation and growth in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) across the region.

Loan Program

The SOFII loan fund acts as a catalyst for increased investment in and support for innovation, and is one element in the ongoing climate of government assistance to high-growth companies in Southern Ontario. Launched by the Government of Canada in July 2012, SOFII is supported through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario and is delivered in southeastern Ontario by Community Futures Eastern Ontario. In southeastern Ontario, SOFII is a $30 million fund, available to eligible organizations in both rural and urban centres.

  • Late stage commercialization
  • New product or service development
  • New applications or markets
  • Development or implementation of new

processes or technologies

 Loan Terms:

  • Loans ranging from $150,000 – $500,000
